Wrexham – Where Legends and Rain Collide
Our journey took us to the historic Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, the oldest stadium in the world still hosting International Football games. It was a fitting way to start our Welsh adventure; even the Welsh weather couldn’t dampen our spirits. Thanks to a tip from my colleague Mark, we found a discreet parking spot near a private hospital, making the trip stress-free.
Before the match, we explored the vibrant Welsh atmosphere and dropped by the famous The Turf pub, where Liam spotted the owner, Wayne Jones, from the “Wrexham” documentary. The locals were friendly and welcoming, creating a fantastic pre-game atmosphere.
As we made our way to the Wrexham Lager Upper Stand, the rain added to the drama of the day. Our entrance gate was a bit of a walk, which became a rather soggy journey around the stadium. Once inside, the limited refreshment options were reminiscent of St. Andrews, but we came prepared.
The game was thrilling, with four first-half goals, although the second half was quieter. Despite a relatively small crowd, the atmosphere was electric. Unfortunately, no matchday programs were available, but this might be due to the nature of the game.
Exiting the stadium was hassle-free, and our journey back home was uneventful, with memories of our visit to Wrexham etched in our hearts. This was the start of our Welsh exploration, and we can’t wait for the next chapter in this incredible journey.

Matchday 92 marked the conclusion of our journey through League One, meaning we have now completed three out of the four leagues, with only two League Two grounds remaining. With a 12:30 kick-off and a pre-arranged meeting with a representative from Barnsley FC at 10:00, it meant an extremely early

Leyton Orient Vs Reading
Matchday 91 was our penultimate game in League One and one that required an early start to the day, which meant we were to board the only direct train from Stourbridge Junction to London Marylebone, departing at 08:19. This service is operated by Chiltern Railways, and past experience suggested
