Liam and I had an incredible evening watching Burnley take on Man United at their home ground. First off, parking was an absolute breeze – we found a spot right opposite Tesco on Centenary Way, and it only set us back £5.90 for over 3 hours of parking. The best part? It was just a quick 12-minute walk to the stadium from there.

We popped into the Clarets shop, where the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Liam decided to go all out and got himself the full Burnley kit. But the real highlight was when we saw a Burnley player, #LyleFoster, taking photos with young fans. It was heartwarming, especially since he wasn’t playing due to a 3-match ban.

Our seats inside the stadium were fantastic, complete with those charming old-style wooden seats. We loved how close we were to the pitch – Liam even got so excited that he shouted at Peter Crouch and Rio Ferdinand, and both of them turned and waved to him. That made his day!

Half-time called for a warm-up, and we both decided on hot drinks. I went for a comforting hot chocolate, while Liam tried the traditional Bovril. And the best part? Both drinks were super budget-friendly, costing us less than £5 in total.

Now, as much as we enjoyed the game, I decided it was best to leave about five minutes before the final whistle. With an 8 PM kick-off, I wanted to ensure a smooth journey back home, especially since I had been up since early in the morning. To our surprise and delight, leaving the area was a breeze, and we were back on the motorway without a hitch.

All in all, Liam and I were seriously impressed with our experience at Burnley’s ground. The easy parking, friendly staff, and overall accessibility made it stand out. It was a fantastic kick-off to our 92FCChallenge, even though Burnley ended up losing to a single Fernandes goal right on the stroke of half-time.

But our unforgettable evening wouldn’t have been possible without a huge shout out to our friend Stuart C, who not only made this incredible football experience happen but also added a layer of excitement to it. Stuart, your generosity in hooking us up with these tickets made our day even more special. We can’t thank you enough for your kindness and for being a crucial part of this fantastic journey with us.
